A snow leopard has a 2 1/2 long mating season form January to mid-march. The snow leopard's gestation period is 90-10 days or 3- 3 1/2 months. Their liter size is 2-3 cubs. Females give birth in rocky dens lined with fur. The young follow their mother on hunts at three months and remain with her through their first winter. Snow leopards can live for up to 21 years in captivity. Averages in the wild from 15-18 years.
